Liam Payne's death is set to be examined by ABC News Studios’ “Impact x Nightline” in a special that will stream on Hulu beginning tomorrow, October 24.
Just one week after the pop singer's shocking death, One Direction: Liam Payne’s Final Days, hosted by Juju Chang, will offer new interviews “with those close to Payne,” including former X-Factor contestant Mary Byrne, who competed alongside Payne, along with social psychologist Dr. Azadeh Aalai, One Direction fan Natalie Barada and ABC News contributors Chris Connelly, Kelley Carter and Megan Ryte.
“Drugs, a trashed hotel room, and a deadly fall: How One Direction’s Liam Payne tragically died," the tagline reads. "The boy band singer’s sudden death sparked renewed questions about the dark side of fame. How did the 31-year-old’s brilliant star fade so dramatically?”
Meanwhile, Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy revealed that Payne had handwritten her a note saying the couple would be married within a year. Along with a photo carousel of the two in happier days, she included a message to her late boyfriend, saying, "Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel." See the post below.
Payne died on October 17 after falling three floors from his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31. According to an initial toxicology report, the One Direction star had cocaine in his system at the time of his death. The final toxicology results, however, are not expected be released until weeks from now.
