The music spectacular is up against the 2016 Juno Awards and the We Day special on CTV in the Best Music Program category.
Hosted by Gigi Hadid, the show featured performances by Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony, and James Bay.
Chloe Wilde, Jus Reign and Jillea are nominated for Best Host in a Variety Program for the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards Red Carpet Special. They are up against Jann Arden and Jon Montgomery, hosts of the 2016 Juno Awards.
David Russell earned a nod for Best Direction in a Variety Program for The Tragically Hip - A National Celebration. The band members were nominated for Best Performance in a Variety Program.
Alessia Cara and White Horse got nods for their Juno Awards performances.
Original Score nominees include Jeff Toyne, Paul Buckley, Robert Carli, Lawrence Shragge, James Gelfand and Louise Tremblay, Schaun Tozer, Robert Carli and Peter Chapman, Trevor Yuile, Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner, and Nicolas Miranda.
In the film categories, Original Song nominees are Nikan Boivin ("Sokecimoyekw"), David Braid ("Could Have Been"), Daniel Stimac ("Almost Had It All"), Camille Poliquin and Laurence Lafond-Beaulne ("Natalie"), and Matthew Schellenberg ("Draw Blood").
Up for Original Score are Todor Kobakov, Steve London and David Braid (Born to be Blue), Michael White (Revenge), Alain Mayrand (Numb), Jesse Zubot (Two Lovers and a Bear), and Taymaz Saba (Window Horses: The Poetic Persian Epiphany of Rosie Ming).
The Canadian Screen Awards will be handed out at galas between March 9 and 12. Howie Mandel will host the televised gala on March 12.
