Papa Roach guitarist Jerry Horton is sitting out the band’s European tour after having surgery to repair two broken fingers.
“I’m sorry to report that I broke two fingers on my left hand and had surgery as soon as my doctor could get me in,” the 44-year-old musician tweeted Wednesday, along with an X-ray image and a photo of his stitched-up digits.
“Fortunately, our brother, Anthony Esperance is going to step in for me in Europe until I am 100% so I can be part of the show we all love.”
Esperance, the brother of bassist Tobin Esperance, has been a touring member of Papa Roach since 2012.
Horton did not offer any details about when or how he broke his fingers.
Papa Roach is on tour in Europe until March 18.
