Did Slayer just reveal the line-up for this summer’s Heavy Montreal festival?
A since-deleted Facebook post by the band showed what appears to be the official poster with Slayer (making their final Quebec appearance) headlining the July 27-28 weekend with Ghost (in their only North American festival appearance).
Other acts in the line-up include Godsmack, Evanescence, All That Remains and Killswitch Engage – four bands that are scheduled to appear on July 28 at the Impact Music Festival in nearby Bangor, Maine.
Also in the line-up is Slash, whose recently announced summer tour has him performing in Windsor, Ont. on July 26 and in Toronto on July 29 – so a Heavy Montreal appearance makes sense.
Heavy Montreal, which already promoted Slayer as a headliner, has not commented on the apparent leak and has not yet formally announced the rest of this year’s line-up. Festival passes are currently available on the official website.
