Canadian actor Jacob Tremblay plays a young Justin Bieber in the video for the pop star’s new single “Lonely.”
Tremblay and Bieber each shared a photo on Instagram showing the 14-year-old Vancouver actor donning Bieber’s 2010 white-jacket-over-purple-hoodie look and sitting alone in a backstage dressing room with his head down.
“Lonely,” which features Benny Blanco, is set to be released on Oct. 16. It’s a slow-paced song in which Bieber reflects on his extraordinary early years. Blanco co-wrote and produced Bieber’s 2015 hit “Love Yourself.”
The track follows Bieber's "Holy" featuring Chance the Rapper, which debuted at No. 3 and then fell out of the Top 10 in its second week on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tremblay is best known for his acclaimed performance in 2015’s made-in-Toronto film Room and has starred in movies like Good Boys and the Montreal-shot Smurfs 2.
