James Blunt is giving his fans the chance to potentially "ruin his life."
The much-maligned singer-songwriter is reissuing his 2004 album, Back to Bedlam, for its 20th anniversary and has now issued his fans a challenge on social media.
"Wanna ruin my life?" Blunt writes. "I'm legally changing my name if 'Back to Bedlam' 20th Anniversary Edition reaches No.1. Comment your name suggestions below, and the most-liked comment wins."
Blunt posted a video, poking fun of his status as one of music's greatest punching bags, and adding that "it's safe to say this is the most important democratic moment of the year." See! He's funny!
Selling more than 11 million copies of his debut album, Blunt is often ridiculed for his mega-hit "You're Beautiful," which despite being one of the decade's biggest songs, has continuously been voted "most annoying" and "most irritating" song ever.
Blunt even apologized to the world for having to hear the song so many times, back in 2014.
As you can expect, some of the names suggested in replies to Blunt's tweet are quite salty.
See the video below and enjoy this man's unbridled humility.
