Janet Jackson on Monday unveiled plans for a tour in support of her forthcoming album Black Diamond.
“I’ve heard all your wishes and I’m working on my new album and going on a new World Tour this summer,” Jackson tweeted. “I’m so excited to share this new era with you.”
Launching in Miami on June 24, Jackson’s tour will make stops at Toronto’s Scotiabank Centre on July 22 and Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on Aug. 22.
Jackson (that's Miss Jackson if you're nasty - ed.) last played Toronto in November 2017 and Vancouver in September 2017. Last August, the 53-year-old pop star wrapped up Metamorphosis, an 18-show residency in Las Vegas.
The new touring production will feature music from Black Diamond, her 12th studio album, as well as a special performance of Rhythm Nation, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 13.
