Janet Jackson has revealed that her family tree extends much farther than just her famous siblings.
In an interview with radio host Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, Jackson shared an unknown fun fact: that her extended family also includes Stevie Wonder, Tracy Chapman and Samuel L. Jackson.
Mills questioned Jackson about her relation to Wonder, after someone had informed him that the two shared blood, which she confirmed.
"He's our cousin," Jackson replied, adding, "Not a lot of people know that. On my mother's side."
Wonder is technically Jackson's third cousin once removed on her mother Katherine's (née Scruse) side.
This admission then got Jackson to admit more famous cousins, including Grammy winner Tracy Chapman and Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson, both of whom she revealed as cousins.
Of course, the ties to Stevie Wonder and the Jackson Family should come as no surprise. Both were a part of the Motown Records dynasty in the 1960s and '70s and have made plenty of public appearances together. Jackson presented Wonder with the Hall of Fame Award at the 39th NAACP Image Awards back on February 14, 2008.
