Country singer Jason Aldean, 40, has released a new music video for “Any Ol’ Barstool”, the third single off of his 2016 LP They Don’t Know. Aldean’s mid-tempo song is about the aftermath of a breakup, and the accompanying visual reflects that solitude.
“For a lot of our videos, we’ve got me and the band and a lot going on, but this song is simple and I wanted to keep the video that way as well,” he said in an interview with EW.
Of releasing the slower jam “Any Ol’ Barstool” as a single, which has just entered the top 10 Billboard Country Airplay chart, the Georgia native said, “It’s cool to put out the big up-tempo [songs] and rockers and have some fun, but it’s also important to show that other side of what I do and let people know that I am still a country singer and I love singing those traditional songs.”
