Jason Mraz has accused Coors Light of using his 2008 hit “I’m Yours” on social media without his permission.

Thirteen seconds of a live acoustic performance of the song could be heard in a video on the beer brand’s official Instagram account. It has since been removed.

A copyright infringement claim against MillerCoorsLLC, filed Dec. 4 in California, alleges the company “had no permission” to use the song and “never even asked for such permission.”

It reads: “Due to the family friendly nature of the song, Mraz has never licensed the composition for use by alcohol companies or other adult-oriented products and would never do so.”

Mraz is seeking at least $150,000 U.S. in damages.

A spokesperson for MillerCoors told Billboard the video was removed “as a courtesy to Mr. Mraz and his team when they reached out” even though the company had “the contractual rights” to post it via an arrangement with the BeachLife Festival.
