The rumours were true! JAY-Z has officially been named the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show.

He will take the stage and perform hits from his deep catalogue at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, February 14, 2027.

On socials, Apple Music made the announcement, sharing a clip of the legendary rapper surrounded by goats seated in the stadium with the caption “GOAT’s out of the bag.”

In a statement, the 56-year-old said, “From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

“For several years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with JAŸ-Z and Roc Nation, and I’ve seen the extraordinary impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show,” added NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him,” Goodell continued. “I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”

Since 2019, JAY-Z’s company, Roc Nation, has served as the Live Music Strategist for SBLXI, producing halftime shows featuring performances by Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and Eminem, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, Usher, and Bad Bunny.
