JAY-Z took the stage on Friday at the 2017 Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York to deliver a hot performance that featured some of his old and new hits.

One great moment of JAY's show was when he performed his 4:44 track, "The Story Of O.J." The outspoken rapper decided to dedicate the track to football player/activist Colin Kaepernick, as well as the late comedian/activist Dick Gregory.

Before JAY-Z started "The Story Of O.J.," he told the crowd, "I want to dedicate this song to anyone that was held back and you overcame.”

Kaepernick caused controversy during the last NFL season for his refusal to stand during the U.S. national anthem in protest of police brutality.
