"Bennifer" is over... again.
Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. She filed on Tuesday (August 20) in Los Angeles, CA at the L.A. County Superior Court. The official separation date on the documents is listed as April 26.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, were married on July 16, 2022 at the Little White Wedding chapel in Las Vegas. The following month, they held a larger ceremony celebrating their marriage with friends and family.
Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years to the day of their wedding celebration on August 20, 2022.
The two previously dated for two years back in the early 2000s, receiving plenty of attention by the tabloid media, which christened their romance "Bennifer," which was one of the reasons the couple was said to have split in 2004.
Lopez and Affleck starred in two films together: 2003's box office disaster Gigli and 2004's Jersey Girl. Affleck also appeared in J.Lo's video for "Jenny from the Block" and most recently in the film adaptation of her latest album, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story.
