Jennifer Lopez isn’t exactly shooting down rumours that she’ll be doing the halftime show at Super Bowl LIV next year.
“A lot of people are asking me that. I don’t know yet, I don’t know,” she said during a phone call to Ellen DeGeneres on an episode of Ellen that aired Monday.
“You want to put it out there?” When DeGeneres joked that she was announcing Lopez as Super Bowl performer, the singer laughed. “I don’t know that I am! Don’t make up stories. Stop!”
Appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan last week, Lopez admitted “it’s something that we’ve talked about for many years and, you know, it would be nice. It would be nice. I can’t say I wouldn’t love it.”
Super Bowl LIV takes place Feb. 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, a city with strong ties to Lopez and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
The Academy Awards will be handed out a week later and Lopez is generating Oscar buzz for her work in Hustlers.
