What can fans expect of the Super Bowl LIV halftime show on Sunday night?
"It’s very Shakira and it’s very Jennifer,” explained Jennifer Lopez at a press conference on Thursday. “It’s a lot of energy, it’s very entertaining, there are heartfelt moments… It’s packed.”
Shakira added: “The Super Bowl is a very American event, as American as it can get. It will also be a reminder of the heritage of this country, which is one of diversity, and that’s what we will be celebrating on Sunday.
“What matters is the message. We’re here, and we have a lot of stuff to say.”
Lopez said two Latinas headlining the show is a big deal.
“It’s a very important moment for our community, for the Latino community in this country,” said Lopez. “When I think of my daughter, when I think of all the little girls in the world, to be able to have that, to see that two Latinas are doing this in this country at this time, it's just very empowering for us.”
Super Bowl LIV takes place Sunday in Miami. Demi Lovato will perform the U.S. national anthem before kick-off.
