Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are among the nominees for the 77th Golden Globe Awards announced Monday morning.
Lopez is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for playing Ramona in Hustlers – her first Golden Globe nod since 1998, when she was up for Best Actress for Selena.
Taylor Swift’s "Beautiful Ghosts,” which she co-wrote with Andrew Lloyd Weber for the big screen adaptation of Cats, is vying for Best Original Song. She was previously nominated in the category in 2013 (“Safe & Sound”) and 2014 (“Sweeter than Fiction”).
Among the songs Swift’s is up against is Beyoncé’s “Spirit” from the Lion King remake. It’s the first Golden Globe nomination for the superstar.
At last year's Golden Globes, Swift presented the award for Best Original Song to "Shallow,” performed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born.
Actor Taron Egerton is up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for portraying Elton John in Rocketman, which is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. The soundtrack’s “I’m Gonna Love Me Again” is in the running for Best Original Song.
Other music artists who earned Golden Globe noms this year are Ben Platt, who is up for Best Actor in a TV Series, Comedy (The Politician) and Billy Porter, vying for Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama (Pose).
Ricky Gervais will host the Golden Globes on Jan. 5 on CTV.
