A Jeopardy contestant mixed up bands during a recent episode of the game show.
The $400 clue in the "We Will Rock You" category read: “In 2018 this band ‘didn’t have a dime but I always had a vision, always had high, high hopes.’”
The thrill of hearing 78-year-old Canadian host Alex Trebek speaking lyrics from Panic! At The Disco’s hit “High Hopes” was short-lived when contestant James Holzhauer buzzed in.
“Who’s Fall Out Boy?,” he guessed.
“No,” Trebek said.
Neither of the other contestants managed to come up with the right band’s name.
On Twitter, Panic! At The Disco shared the awkward clip, captioned: “hey look ma, we…… made it?!?”
Fall Out Boy retweeted it and wrote: “i’ll take ‘you’ll get ‘em next time, James’ for $500, Alex.”
Holzhauer will be able to update his playlist all the Panic! And Fall Out Boy tracks he wants. The 34-year-old Las Vegas native is only the second contestant in the show’s history to win more than $1 million during the regular season.
