Jessie Reyez has pulled out of two more festival appearances this summer.
The Canadian singer will not be at Montreal’s Osheaga this weekend in Montreal (she was scheduled to be in the line-up on Friday) or at Riverfest in Elora, Ont. on Aug. 16.
“Jessie Reyez was injured during a recent festival performance and is not able to perform in order to heal properly,” read tweets from both festivals. “With regret, Jessie has to cancel her performances in August and will therefore not be able to perform as scheduled.”
The news comes less than a month after Reyez cancelled an appearance at Bluesfest in Ottawa.
On June 23, Reyez shared a photo on Instagram of her icing her right knee backstage at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware. She captioned it: “Busted my knee giving my guitar away today.”
Four days later, the 28-year-old tweeted the news that she had to cancel European dates. “I’m sad to say that I got injured during my last performance and have been advised not to fly/perform for the next 10 days in order to heal properly,” wrote Reyez.
This past Saturday, Reyez took to the stage at the Squamish Constellation Festival in B.C. and told the crowd she had spent weeks resting and undergoing physiotherapy. She finished her set while lying down on a sofa.
