Canada’s Jessie Reyez will kick off the Epic Together Virtual Music Festival on April 10, which also features Kim Petras and Princess Nokia.
Reyez is scheduled to perform beginning at 9 pm ET. Petras goes online at the same time the following day and Nokia is on at 6 pm ET on April 12.
The virtual concert will be live-streamed on the Instagram account of NYX Professional Makeup.
Late last month, Reyez released her debut album Before Love Came to Kill Us, in spite of the COVID-19 outbreak.
“The whole premise of building this album was to make something that made people think about their mortality. Now it seems like a theme song to what’s happening irl,” she wrote on Instagram. “If we drop now and the world ends tomorrow, at least my art was authentic.”
Reyez tweeted on Monday that her upcoming tour has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. “New dates will be coming ASAP and your tickets will be honoured,” she promised. “I hope y’all are safe and sound. Distance makes the heart grow fonder.”
The 28-year-old singer released EPs in 2017 and 2018. The two-time Juno winner and Grammy nominee also co-wrote the 2018 hits “Promises” by Calvin Harris and Sam Smith and “One Kiss” by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa.
