Joe Jonas has announced a new solo album, Music For People Who Believe In Love, his first in 13 years.
Out October 18, his first new album since 2011's Fastlife comes just days after revealing the first single "Work It Out" will arrive this Friday (July 19).
In an Instagram post, Jonas posted the album cover along with a message in which he called Music For People Who Believe In Love "a celebration of gratitude, hope and love."
"These songs reflect my on my life from a bird's-eye view acknowledging the many blessings around me," he wrote.
"When we take a moment to breathe, pause, and reflect on the positives, my hope is that we can find acceptance and ultimately peace in the present moment," he adds. "It’s okay to cry and mourn a loss – it’s part of the process to take care of ourselves and eventually enables us to be there for the people we care about.
"This album speaks to the experiences of being a father, being a friend to oneself and others, and the happiness I’ve found in doing what I love for a living."
Based on these comments, fans will no doubt expect Jonas's lyrics to address his recent divorce from actress Sophie Turner.
Last week he told the Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast he admitted that he first went to brothers Kevin and Nick to see if they'd be okay with him going solo again.
"I asked my brothers' blessings," he said. "I was like 'I don’t want to call it solo, but I want to go do something on my own, and I don’t feel like it’s DNCE, and I need to go just express stuff for myself.' And they were like, 'Go for it.' Nick booked a movie, Kevin was going to do another season of Claim to Fame, and so I had the window of time."
Jonas first teased new music back on May 29 when he posted a snippet of a song to TikTok.
Meanwhile Jonas Brothers are set to restart their world tour this Saturday (July 20) when they play Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, CO.
