Judas Priest have entered the studio to record a follow-up to 2014's Redeemer of Souls and they've brought some big guns with them.
Tom Allom will be producing the album and his production credits are nothing to scoff at. He was the engineer on Black Sabbath's landmark first two albums and worked on every Priest album between 1979 to 1988.
Along with Allom, the band brought in Andy Sneap — who has worked with Carcass, Arch Enemy, Testament, Killswitch Engage, and Amon Amarth — and Mike Exeter, who mixed Priest's Redeemer of Souls album.
The new album will also be the second album for guitarist Richie Faulkner, who replaced axeman K.K. Downing in 2011.
Judas Priest announced the news on Facebook, calling it "all very exciting!"
