The JUNO Awards will celebrate its 50th anniversary back home in Toronto.
It was announced Tuesday that the 2021 JUNO Week will take place March 22 to 28, with the televised awards show taking place March 28 from Scotiabank Arena.
“Fifty years ago Walt Grealis and Stan Klees created the JUNO Awards right here in Toronto and it’s an honour to bring Canada’s biggest night in music back home to where it all started,” Allan Reid, president and CEO of CARAS / The JUNO Awards and MusiCounts, in a release.
It will be the first time the JUNOs have been held in Toronto since 2011. The awards were handed out in the city up until 1990 and have only been in Toronto five times since.
Next year’s JUNOs will be in Saskatoon.
