Justin Bieber has confirmed he’s engaged to Hailey Baldwin.
“Word travels fast,” the 24-year-old Canadian singer wrote on Instagram on Monday. On Sunday, TMZ broke the news that Bieber had popped the question to Baldwin on Saturday in Bahamas.
In a message he shared along with a black-and-white photo of he and his fiancée, Bieber said he is “so committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY.”
The Ontario-born singer added: “I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity.”
Bieber said he was anxious for his half-siblings Jazmyn and Jaxon – his father’s children with ex Erin Wagner – to see “another healthy stable marriage and look for the same.”
Bieber was born to 18-year-old single mom Pattie Mallette. (In her memoir, she said her engagement to Jeremy was called off when he cheated on her with a mutual friend.)
In February, Jeremy married pregnant Chelsey Rebelo in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Baldwin, 21, is one of two daughters of actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Deodata, who have been married for 28 years.
Bieber gushed: “My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment each other so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!”
The pop star’s Instagram message explained that he got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month. “The number seven is the number of spiritual perfection, it’s true GOOGLE IT!” he wrote. “Isn’t that nuts? By the way I didn’t plan that.”
