Justin Bieber said Monday he pulled the plug on his Purpose World Tour because he’s had enough.
“I’ve been on tour for two years,” Bieber told the Splash News agency, assuring fans that “everything’s fine.”
The Canadian pop star cancelled the tour with 15 shows to go — including two in Toronto in September.
Asked if he had a message for fans, Bieber said: “I love you guys, I think you guys are awesome.
“Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed, it’s not my heart or anything.”
On Instagram, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun apologized to fans. “A man's soul and well being I truly care about came first and we must all respect and honour that,” he wrote. “Justin will be back and I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again. One chapter ends and another begins.”
On Monday, tour promoters cited “unforeseen circumstances” for the cancellation of the rest of the tour. “After careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates,” read a statement. “Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

The Purpose tour kicked off on March 9, 2016 and stopped in nine Canadian cities that year. According to Pollstar, the tour grossed more than $200 million USD.
Many reviewers of the show claimed Bieber looked "bored," lip-synced most of his songs, and criticized fans for screaming when he tried to talk.
Last October, The Guardian noted "he looks either bored senseless or actively miserable, like a man who’s been hauling himself around the world doing this kind of thing since he was 15 and doesn’t really want to do it any more."
Singer John Mayer took to Twitter to support Bieber.
“When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” he wrote. “We've lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”
