Justin Bieber has joined voices with a choir made up of British health care workers for a special version of his hit “Holy” for charity.
The Canadian singer and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir recorded the single, which will be released Friday, at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London.
“Especially in these difficult times, I’m humbled to team up with them for a charity single that will benefit NHS workers on the frontlines of this pandemic and pay tribute to their unbelievable dedication,” Bieber said, in a release.
Profits from the single will distributed to NHS Charities Together and the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity.
Bieber, who released “Holy” ft. Chance the Rapper in September, has some history with the choir. In 2015, he tweeted his support for its recording of “A Bridge Over You” becoming the UK’s Christmas Number One instead of his single “Love Yourself.”
“Justin Bieber helped make our dreams come true in 2015 and he’s doing the same this year,” said choir leader Caroline Smith, in a release. “We really can’t thank him enough for the chance to work with him on this wonderful, uplifting song.”
