Justin Bieber got one of the biggest hits of his life on Saturday — and it happened on a hockey rink.

The pop superstar got slammed against the boards by fellow Ontario native, NHL star Chris Pronger, during a celebrity match-up in Los Angeles.

An Associated Press photo of Bieber being crushed against the glass has gone viral because it is all kinds of awesome.

Bieber was playing on Team Gretzky at the NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout ahead of Sunday’s All-Star Game. His teammates included actors Cuba Gooding Jr. and Tim Robbins as well as hockey greats like Patrick Kane, Joe Sakic and Eric Lindros.

Also playing with Bieber was Carter Thicke, son of Canadian actor Alan Thicke, who died in December while playing hockey.

Team Gretzky was challenged by Team Lemieux, which included Canadian star Taylor Kitsch and actor David Boreanaz.

The singer, who played hockey as a kid in Stratford, Ont., missed two penalty shots but eventually scored a goal, helping his team win 5-3.
