Justin Bieber is taking some heat on social media for complimenting his friend Chris Brown’s dance skills.
Brown posted a video clip Wednesday showing off some new choreography and captioned it “We Working” along with a muscle emoji.
Bieber, a longtime pal and collaborator, commented: “No one can touch you ur the GOAT.”
Some people expressed disappointment that Bieber would refer to Brown as the greatest of all time only days after Brown was accused of sexual assault in Paris. (Brown, who vehemently denied the rape allegation in a since-deleted Instagram post, was released from custody without charges. His lawyer said the singer plans to sue for defamation.)
“You've missed a great opportunity to remain silent,” one person replied to Bieber’s comment. Wrote another: “You are soooo cancelled honeyyyy.”
Bieber and Brown have collaborated on several tracks, including 2011’s “Next to You” and “Ladies Love Me.”

Nick Cannon and pop singer Austin Mahone also commented on Brown's Instagram post.
Other famous friends of the R&B singer have shown more direct support on social media.
Drake “liked” an Instagram post by Meek Mill that read: “And what happens when somebody falsely accuse you of a crime? Nothing ... hold ya head @chrisbrownofficial his life could [have] easily been ruined from this!”
Rapper T.I. shared in an Instagram post: “Ok so now what happens to the FALSE accuser???? She should face the same scrutiny and punishment as he would have if he did it.”
