Justin Bieber on Friday toured an exhibition about his life in the Ontario town where he grew up.
The pop star showed up at the Stratford Perth Museum with his grandparents Bruce and Diane Dale.
“He couldn’t have been nicer,” museum general manager John Kastner told the Canadian Press. “He couldn’t have been more humble, he couldn’t have been more appreciative.”
Bieber, sporting shaggy bleached hair and wearing khaki pants and a plaid hoodie, spent about 45 minutes at the Steps to Stardom exhibit.
“He kept saying how fantastic it was, how much he appreciated us doing it, what a great job we did,” Kastner said.
The exhibit celebrating Bieber’s rise to fame opened in February and features some of his personal belongings – including his Grammys, the drum kit he played as a child, and his old hockey bag.

Bieber posed for photos with museum staff and added his name to a wall where fans are invited to leave messages. He wrote “Justin was here” alongside a heart.
The singer also signed a T-shirt, which the museum plans to frame and put on display.
Kastner said Bieber got a little emotional looking at the collection. “He said a couple of times, 'Looking at this stuff gives me goosebumps. I never thought there would be a museum exhibit about me.’”
The exhibition runs until the end of the year.
