Justin Timberlake is debuting his brand-new concert film, Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids, on Wednesday and the pop star says he's dedicated the TV special to the one and only Prince.
Speaking with E! News, JT confessed that the Purple Wonder's influence and impact remains quite recognizable amongst his career, his generation of peers and even the future generations to come.
"His influence, and I have this in common with I think every musician of my generation and the generations to come, his influence is all over everyone’s music and there’s so much that I feel like I’ve maybe consciously and unconsciously borrowed from him that it felt…right," he admitted. "It just feels right to dedicate the film to him."
Director Jonathan Demme didn't disagree with the homage either. "The film's been blessed with that name and that spirit," he told the outlet.
Originally screened at last month's Toronto International Film Festival, Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids follows the triple threat on the last show of his 20/20 Experience World Tour in Las Vegas.
