An exhibition celebrating the life and career of Kacey Musgraves opened Tuesday at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.
“Isn’t this something people do when they’re 75, 80 years old, you know, looking back on their life?,” the singer told the Associated Press. “Ultimately, I take it as a huge honour. I’ll be 31 soon and I’ve been doing this since I was eight years old.”

The country star toured the exhibit on Monday with her husband Ruston Kelly and her grandparents Barbara and Darrell Gene. “It really did hit me in an emotional way and I didn’t think it would," she said.
On social media, Musgraves is urging her fans to see for themselves.
“Baby photos, detention slips, awkward teenage hair choices, light-up boots, all my favorite ‘fits thru the years & more,” she teased. It’s a really special curation of personal mementos and moments from 1988 up to now. I hope you can go see it.”
