It was a big night for Kane Brown at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old singer dominated the country music categories, winning Favorite Male Artist, Album and Song (for "Heaven").

Brown – a former American Idol and X Factor competitor – built a fan base by posting covers on YouTube. His self-titled debut studio album, released in December 2016, went to No. 1 on the U.S. country chart and peaked at No. 25 in Canada.

Brown's sophomore album Experiment is set to come out Nov. 9.

Florida Georgia Line was named Favorite Duo or Group - Country and Carrie Underwood, who gave an emotional performance of "Spinning Bottles" during the live broadcast, won Favorite Female Artist.
