Kanye West said Tuesday he needed medical treatment for spending too much time on his phone.
Without a trace of irony, the 43-year-old rap star used his phone to tweet a video in which he is seen getting a needle in his right wrist.
“Lidocaine worked instantly!!! The dexamethasone takes 24 to 48 hours,” West captioned the clip. “Modern medicine.”
Later, he shared an x-ray image of his hand. “Too much texting bro,” he tweeted. “Had to get the cortisone mixed with a wittle sprinkle of lidocaine.”
Lidocaine is an anesthetic commonly used to numb pain. Dexamethasone is a steroid that is used to treat, among other conditions, rheumatic problems.
