Katy Perry has been granted a temporary retraining order against a man she accuses of posing “a credible threat” to her safety.
A judge ruled that William Terry must stay at least 91 metres away from Perry, her fiancé Orlando Bloom and their newborn daughter Daisy as well as from Bloom’s 9-year-old son Flynn. Terry is also barred from contacting Perry directly or indirectly, including via social media.
According to E! News, the pop star said she suffered “significant and severe emotional and psychological distress” after Terry allegedly trespassed on her property on at least two occasions in the period of about a month.
“In addition to his attempts to make physical entry to my home,” Katy wrote in her filing, “Terry has also posted death threats against my partner Orlando Bloom, stating that he wants to snap his neck.
“Terry is a dangerous man.”
The temporary restraining order will remain in effect until a hearing on Oct. 8.
