Katy Perry has made it clear last month that she thinks Taylor Swift owes her an apology. On Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, the “Swish Swish” singer opened up about the longstanding feud, saying, “There’s a situation. Honestly, it’s like, she started it and it’s time for her to finish it.”

A new interview with the NME sees Perry go for the jugular. “I mean, I’m not Buddha – things irritate me,” Perry said. “I wish that I could turn the other cheek every single time, but I’m also not a pushover, you know? Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls [her fans]. That’s so messed up!”

When asked about whether Corden pushed her too far on the issue, Perry responded, “Well, James Corden makes me and the whole world feel very safe,” Perry said. “No one has asked me about my side of the story, and there are three sides of every story: one, two, and the truth.”

We’ll have to wait to see if there’s a response from Swift’s camp, but the “Bad Blood” singer has so far remained tight-lipped on the issue. Perry’s new album WITNESS is released June 9.
