Katy Perry is one of many celebrities affected by the wildfires raging in southern California.
The Thomas Fire is the third-largest wildfire in the state’s history, covering over 267,000 acres as of Saturday evening, according to CNN. So far, officials have reported over 1,000 structures destroyed.
Perry wrote on social media that her parents had to evacuate their home in Santa Barbara, on her mother’s birthday.
“Woke up to wish my mom a happy 70th birthday today to find my brother evacuating them from the insane #ThomasFire in Santa Barbara County that has kicked up once again," the pop star tweeted. "Praying for the firefighters & first responders that are fighting it back as best they can."
Singers Lionel Richie and Lea Michele are also among the celebrities that have been forced to flee from the fires.
