Katy Perry and her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, have welcomed their first child together.

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple is quoted as saying in a tweet from UNICEF announcing the birth. The two stars are global ambassadors for the charity.

Perry and Bloom named their baby girl Daisy Dove Bloom. No additional details about the birth were immediately provided.

She is the first child for Perry and the second for Bloom, who has a nine-year-old son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Perry and Bloom have been dating since 2016 and got engaged in February 2019.

Perry went public with her pregnancy in March by showing off her baby bump at the end of the video for “Never Worn White." At the time, she tweeted: "OMG, so glad I don't have to suck it in anymore or carry around a big purse.”

The singer revealed the sex of the baby a few weeks later in an Instagram post. In May, Perry shared a sonogram image that appears to show the baby giving her the finger.

“When your unborn daughter gives you a middle finger from the womb you know you’re in for it,” she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag “#happymothersdaytome.”
