A little more than a month after announcing – via a sponsored Instagram post – that she was pregnant, singer Kelis shared news on Friday that she had her baby.
"I had a girl … so I’m very excited about that,” said Kelis, who said her “big baby” came a week ago. She did not share her daughter's name.
“It’s been a really intense week but I made it and baby’s good.”
On Saturday, Kelis shared a photo of the baby’s hand holding hers. “She’s just the sweetest little thing,” she captioned it.
It’s the first daughter for Kelis, who is best known for her 2003 hit “Milkshake.” She and her husband of six years, real estate agent Mike Mora, have son Shepherd and Kelis has son Knight from her first marriage to rapper Nas.
