Aside from working on her forthcoming soul-inspired album, Kelly Clarkson is reuniting with HarperCollins Publisher for the follow-up to her 2016 children's book, River Rose and the Magical Lullaby, which just so happens to be a festive holiday tale.
On Wednesday (June 28), the original American Idol champ took to Twitter to make the announcement in a special video message, which was set-up as an adorable mock press conference. River Rose and the Magical Christmas was illustrated by Lucy Fleming and continues daughter River Rose adventure into the imaginary. It'll also include an original Christmas song by Clarkson.
"It's Christmas Eve, and River Rose wants to stay up all night to hand-deliver a letter to Santa. She can't wait to finally meet the man in red until . . . Oh, no! River Rose and her dog Joplin have fallen asleep and have been swept off on another magical adventure," reads a description from the book's website. "This time, they're off to the North Pole to let Santa know what River Rose really wants for Christmas."
