Kelly Clarkson has admitted that a glass of wine (or two) helps her raise four children.
At a press event Tuesday to promote the new season of The Voice, Clarkson told reporters: “Wine is necessary.”
The singer said she admires her children’s honesty.
“Out of the mouths of babes. They say stuff where you’re like ‘Damn.’ They call you out. They teach me,” she shared.
“I know it sounds silly but kids teach you to be a better human. They’re watching every moment.”
Clarkson, 35, has two children with husband Brandon Blackstock and is a stepmother to his two children from a previous relationship.
In an earlier radio interview, Clarkson said she sees nothing wrong with spanking as a form of discipline.
“I’m not above a spanking, which people aren’t necessarily into. And I don’t mean like hitting her hard, I just mean a spanking," she revealed.
“My parents spanked me and I did fine in life and I feel fine about it."
Is the singer done with having children?
“Absolutely!,” said Clarkson.
