Kelsea Ballerini is saying goodbye to Twitter for now.
The always positive country songstress read some not-so-positive messages on the social media site last Friday and took to it to respond.
“Can’t even believe I’m having to post this, but my timeline is FILLED with people being so mean to each other,” Ballerini tweeted.
“I love my fans so so much, & am sad to see the hate in these comments to each other. It’s not what I stand for, I just want to make music and people happy. That’s it.”

In a subsequent tweet, she revealed she is going to “take a little break from [T]witter and refocus on the music.”
Since those posts, Ballerini has only posted one other time – a response to singer Clare Bowen, who wrote: “Baby, people who have the spare time to be awful on social media have holes in their souls & need to eat more fiber. You're wonderful.”
Kelsea is gearing up to release her long-awaited sophomore album, which has already spawned the single, “Legends.”
