Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett are among the nominees announced Wednesday for the 2020 CMT Music Awards.
They are each up for three awards, as are Dan + Shay, Ashley McBryde, Luke Combs and Sam Hunt. The Chicks are nominated for the first time since 2007 and country music icon Tanya Tucker has her first ever nomination.
Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is up for Collaborative Video of the Year thanks to his contribution to the Dan + Shay single “10,000 Hours.” He won the category in 2011 for “That Should Be Me” with Rascal Flatts.
Finalists in the Video of the Year category will be unveiled on Oct. 12.
Winners of the CMT Music Awards are determined by fan votes and will be announced Oct. 21 during a show that will feature “epic outdoor performances” in and around Nashville, according to a release.
