Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the 2025 Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, which takes place place on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
On the first official Sunday of the 2024 season, the Grammy-winning rapper posted a video to his socials of himself launching footballs with a throwing machine to his socials, during which he makes the announcement. See it below.
“Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one,” Lamar said in a statement.
pgLang, Lamar's creative company with Dave Free, who directs most of Lamar's music videos, will oversee creative direction for the performance, with executive producers Jay-Z and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers. the filmmaker and producer who has directed or co-directed the majority of Lamar’s music videos.
This will mark the second time Lamar has performed at the event. In 2022, he appeared at Super Bowl LVI with hip-hop heavyweights Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.

Most halftime shows feature guest performers joining the headliner and Lamar has collaborated with many artists of various genres since he emerged. So let the guest appearance guessing begin. We do know one past collaborator who will definitely not be getting an invite.
