Lady Gaga and her fiancé Christian Carino have called off their engagement.
A rep for the singer-actress confirmed the news to People on Tuesday. Speculation was sparked at the Grammy Awards when Gaga showed up without her engagement ring or Carino.
Gaga went public with her engagement last October when she thanked “my fiancé Christian” at Elle’s 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration. Rumours had swirled since the pop star was spotted wearing a pink diamond ring.
The pair had been dating since early 2017.
Gaga’s engagement to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney was called off in July 2016 after a little more than a year. They had been together since 2011.
In the documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, the singer said: “My threshold for bullsh** with men is just — I don’t have one anymore. In relationships, you have to move together.”
Gaga blamed her success for the failure of her relationships. “I sold 10 million [records] and lost Matt [Matthew Williams]. I sold 30 million and lost Luc [Lücas Patrick Carl]. I did a movie and lose Taylor. It’s like a turnover.”
