It's clear that Lady Gaga has grown as a musician and part of that sort of metamorphosis includes offering the public a stripped-back version of her famed pop persona.
To emphasize the tactic, Little Monsters and naysayers alike have been witness to Gaga through a simpler lens via her music, outfits and performances without all the theatrics of her early years.
The latest proof comes in the form of Sunday Times Culture -- her first print magazine cover of her new era.
The pop star's edition of the UK publication recently came out with the headline: "Exclusive: Lady Gaga on ditching the meat dress and embracing her family tragedy."
For years, Gaga has been a rather polarizing figure, with detractors criticizing her for attention-grabbing strategies, so it's a welcome change to see the singer revert back to her performance styling from her pre-fame days.
Still, the first single from her new album, "Perfect Illusion," has failed to generate the same buzz and success as predecessors, which is disappointing.
Lady Gaga's issue of Sunday Times’Culture magazine hits UK newsstands on Oct. 16.
