Lady Gaga made a special appearance on Friday afternoon at New York City’s Grand Central Station food concourse, to help kick off her Dad’s new fried chicken restaurant and whiskey bar, Art Bird.
While Mother Monster ate her fair share of southern fare, she also helped out behind the counter, serving up food and mixing drinks in her own bright red Art Bird t-shirt.
While travellers snapped pictures of the pop singer, Gaga posted some photos herself on Instagram.
"Had to stop at my dad’s new restaurant with @thechefartsmith. It’s called @artbirdnyc if you want killer fried chicken n’ more at Grand Central Station food concourse in NYC," she captioned one post. "Just in case @joannetrattoria is all booked up stop by @artbirdnyc Who knows I might even be serving!" she captioned another.
Aside from Art Bird, Gaga's parents also own Italian restaurant Joanne's Trattoria. Like her album, Joanne, the restaurant is dedicated to her late aunt who passed away at a young age from lupus.
The "Born This Way" singer has been hard at work recording in NYC the past few weeks. Scottish electronic producer Sophie recently confirmed she's working on new music with Gaga, which means she must be getting back to her electronic pop roots.
