Lady Gaga kicked off her Joanne World Tour on Tuesday night in Vancouver — and fans were loving it!
Performing on two small stages connected by walkways, Gaga was able to get up close to her Little Monsters.
She did 22 songs, mixing her big hits with tracks from her latest album, Joanne.
Fans took to Twitter to rave about the spectacle, which featured lots of video and lighting effects and, of course, some solid dancing.
Vancouver Sun writer Stuart Derdeyn opined that Gaga provided “a lot of great examples of how to change costumes and keep crowd engaged. Great staging.”
Gaga even shared some nerves about taking the stage for the first time on the 60-date tour.
“I AM SO NERVOUS,” she tweeted. “ITS SO PACKED I JUST LOOKED *calm down joanne* #joanneworldtour SOLD OUT”
Gaga’s next show is Thursday night in Edmonton. She plays Montreal on Sept. 4 followed by shows in Toronto on Sept. 6 and 7.
