Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have teamed up for a brand new single called "Die With A Smile."
Described as a “timeless ballad,” the song marks the first new song for each of the artists in two years.
In a message to fans, Gaga explained that the track is the first taste of what's to come from her new album, which she has tentatively called LG7.
“Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating," she says. "I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to hear something he was working on. It was around midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started making. We stayed up all night and finished writing and recording the song. Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision is next level. There’s no one like him.”
The two performed the song live for the first time last night (August 15) during Mars's concert at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, which marked the official opening of the new $2 billion venue and home to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Back in May, Gaga teased that LG7 is "nothing like anything that I've ever made before," which came from her breaking genre and exploring music.
