Lady Gaga looked nothing short of Hollywood royalty during Friday night's premiere of A Star Is Born in Venice.
The pop singer and co-star Bradley Cooper turned heads while walking the red carpet hand-in-hand at the Venice Film Festival to see their film make its silver screen debut.
Gaga looked ravishing in a coral, maribou-feathered Valentino Haute Couture strapless gown from Pierpaolo Piccioli, whereas Cooper wore a Gucci tuxedo and shoes by Christian Louboutin.
The musical romantic drama, a remake of the 1937 original, follows an established singer-songwriter (Cooper) who falls in love with his timid yet greatly talented protégée (Gaga).
“It’s a story about love and about what Bradley refers to as the human plight of addiction. It was a remarkable experience for me,” the Joanne artist said at a press conference. “When I started out in the music industry and decided to be a singer and go for a professional career I was 19 years and I hit the ground running. I was dragging my piano from dive bar to dive bar to get jobs so that I could sing and perform for people…when I started out, I was not the most beautiful girl in the room."
A Star Is Born will have its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this month and then opens everywhere Oct. 5.
