Lady Gaga announced Friday that she plans to take a "rest" from music.

While attending the premiere of her documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two at the Toronto International Film Festival, the pop star spoke to reporters about recent health issues and her struggle with chronic pain.

"It's hard, but it's liberating too," she said

“My pain really does me no good unless I transform it into something that is… I hope that people watching it that struggle with chronic pain know they are not alone.”

The “Born This Way” singer has opened up about her health issues in the past, but the debilitating disease hasn’t stopped her yet.

Gaga told reporters her break from music, after her Joanne tour wraps up, "doesn't mean I don't have some things up my sleeve.”
