"Shallow,” performed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born, was named the Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift and actor Idris Elba presented the award to Gaga and fellow songwriters Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Anthony Rossomando.
"As a woman in music it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and as a songwriter," Gaga said, "and these three incredible men, ... they lifted me up, they supported me." Both she and Ronson also thanked Cooper.
“Shallow” beat the Kendrick Lamar and SZA song “All The Stars” from Black Panther; Dolly Parton’s “Girl in the Movies” from Dumplin’; Annie Lennox’s “Requiem for a Private War” from A Private War; and Troye Sivan’s “Revelation” from Boy Erased.
The song is also up for four Grammy Awards – including Record of the Year and Song of the Year – on Feb. 10. It is also sure to be among the Academy Awards nominees when they are announced Jan. 22.
Gaga was previously nominated for Best Original Song at the Globes for her Elton John collaboration "Hello, Hello," from the animated Gnomeo & Juliet.
Her role in American Horror Story: Hotel earned her a Golden Globe in 2016 for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie.
The Golden Globe for Best Original Score went to Justin Hurwitz for First Man. He previously won in 2017 for La La Land.
